Do I Have to Register to Create Listings?

Yes. You must be a registered user to create listings. Registration is free.

I created a listing, but it does not show up in search results. Why?

You need to run your listing. Go to My Account and click on Run to the left of the listing you wish to run. The system will ask for your credit card information, and your listing will run as soon as your payment is processed.

How do I stop my listing from running?

From the My Account page, click on the Stop link to the left of the listing.

What Category Should I Put My listing In?

Choose the category that best fits.

I paid for a business listing but I can't find it on your directory, what should I do?

When requesting your listing you will have selected a category from the drop down menu. These categories directly relate to the pages on our website. All category pages can be accessed from the directory index found on our home page and at the foot of every other page. If you're still unable to find your listing then feel free to contact us.

By paying for a business listing, is my company guaranteed to be included in your directory?

Yes. 100% of paid business listing requests are successful and by paying for a listing we guarantee to review and add your web site within 5 days. We do reserve the right not to list websites that do not meet our entry standards or that we feel are unsuitable including but not limited to, websites that are pornographic, racist or defamatory in nature. Unlike most directories though, we offer a full refund if your request is unsuccessful.

I have created a business listing, why is not displayed on your directory straight away?

IkeandEd.com Directory is a human edited directory which means every single submission we receive is reviewed according to our entry criteria. This is very important because it ensures the quality of our site is maintained for both visitors and advertisers and is one reason why we have been helping to promote Local businesses for over 13 years now

Privacy

I don't want my name, phone number or email address to appear on your site. What should I do?

To hide all of your personal information when creating a listing, just do the following:

1. Answer "NO" to the question "Include Profile with Listing"

2. Do not enter your street address or phone number on the listing

This will keep all of your personal information private.

Someone interested in your listing will be able to contact you via anonymous email using the "Contact Advertiser" link on the site. The email address you enter for a listing is NOT shown on the site - it is used by the site to route anonymous contact requests to your email without making your email address visible to others.

If all my information is private how can a buyer contact me?

When your ad appears, instead of showing your contact information the following appears: "This seller has chosen to remain private. You may contact this seller via anonymous email by clicking here." The prospective buyer completes an on-line form and the system sends you an email without revealing your information to the prospective buyer.

How much does it cost to register?

Nothing. Registration is FREE.

Do I have to register to use the site?

No. You can browse and search ads without registering. You should still register, to save time, as the site will remember various preferences for you. If you want to create ads, you will need to register. Registration is FREE.

What do I do if I see a suspicious ad or scam ad?

You can click on the "Report This Listing" button located in the listing, and we will investigate.

I see inappropriate language in a listing should I report it?

Yes. Please click on the "Report This Listing" button located in the listing, and we will investigate. If we deem the language to be inappropriate the ad/listing will be removed. We reserve the right to remove any ad/listing that we deem to be in appropriate for our site.

I see duplicate listings should I tell you about it?

Yes please. Having a second set of eyes is always helpful. Please click on the "Report This Listing"button located in the listing, and we will investigate.

Safety

How do I stay safe using IKEandED.com?

All transactions are solely between the seller listing the ad and the buyer answering the ad. It is up to you to ensure you have a safe transaction. First and foremost, do not list any personal information in your ad, and do not give it out to anyone you speak to regarding your ad.
